First 5 Nevada: Check Out Our New Programs and Resources!

First 5 Nevada is proud to announce the addition of several new programs and resources to the First 5 Nevada website. Take a sneak peak at these new programs here and visit their page on the website to learn more, including eligibility requirements and how to apply or enroll.

Nevada Legal Services - Nevada Legal Services (NLS) provides a range of services from telephone advice to representation in court. The level of representation depends on the type of problem, the merits of the case, and staff availability. NLS also offers workshops, educational seminars, law fairs, and ask-a-lawyer events. NLS offers support on a wide range of issues including housing, public benefits determinations, special education, and family law. The types of cases accepted by each office may vary. Partners in Parenting - Partners in Parenting promotes positive parenting and child health and development, thereby preventing child abuse and other poor childhood outcomes. Partners in Parenting programs serve children ages 0 to 5 years old. Parents must attend with their children. There are no income or application requirements. Spanish language classes are available for most programs. Visit the Partners in Parenting page on First 5 Nevada to learn more, including a list of programs and how to get enrolled.

NEW RESOURCES - First 5 Nevada has also added some new resources – see below for a list of resources recently added:

Vegas PBS Special Needs Resource Library – The Vegas PBS Special Needs Resource Library is a grant-funded, free-lending library serving those with special needs. They offer a specialized collection of educational materials addressing autism, blindness, deafness, developmental delays and other special needs.

Find a Health Provider – We understand how important it is for families to access quality medical care. First 5 Nevada has added resources to help you understand what types of healthcare providers there are and where to go to find a provider that is right for you and your family. Whether you need a provider for your pregnancy, pediatrician, specialist, or general practitioner, we have resources that can help!

Nevada WebIZ – The Nevada WebIZ Public Access Portal allows parents and legal guardians to print official immunization records for their child(ren). This is an official record and can be used as proof of immunization for school entry, summer camp, employment, etc.
