The first smile. Their first step. Waving “bye-bye.” Even raising a hand to give a “high-five.” These are all part of what are called “developmental milestones.” Children reach milestones as they play, learn, speak, act, and move.

La Fuerza de Familias Latinas Parent Engagement Workshops

La Fuerza de Familias Latinas is a Parent Engagement initiative through Literacy Partners specifically for Spanish speaking families. Through a collaboration with Univision, the program uses digital content and telenovelas to create workshops that introduce early literacy, science of reading and STEM concepts into the home geared towards children 0-5. Families join workshops virtually and after the family completes the workshop they are gifted 5 free Spanish language books and a $25 incentive. Workshops are free to families and they can join more than one workshop.
